The accomplishments listed below are only possible through the Grace of God and the support of our wonderful community at Second Chances. As we look back on 2023, we give all the glory to God and extend a huge thank you to our patrons, donors, and partners! It is by the grace of God and the support given to us that we are able to give to those who need it most.

● 20 backpacks filled with school supplies and 1 pair of shoes for each homeless child - requested by Tatum Volunteer Fire Dept.

● Free “First Day of School” clothes offered to all teachers and staff - any school in the area

● MRCC Senior Youth group service project - drawstring packs filled with supplies for the homeless

● Delisa to speak to 6th graders at MRCC about the ministry

● Delisa to be featured on Channel 9, Monday - July 22, as the“Hometown Hero”

● Possibility of fundraiser event in the Fall

  • Expanded Shop to 3rd Suite!!!!

  • Hamburger/Hotdog cookout for homeless friends

  • 37 people assisted to obtain ID cards

  • 29 people assisted to obtain birth certificates

  • 22 were placed in Sober Living - 19 still there and working Full time

  • 39 tents given away

  • 150 sleeping bags given away

  • Preparing ~1,500 meals/week: average feeding 250/daily x 6 days/week

  • Monday’s are “Dress out” - clean clothe Monday’s are “Dress out” - clean clothes are given to the homeless and feeding day. The store is not open for customers.

  • $1,800 spent on housing 4 sets of people in acute crisis for one week each. This is especially used for families with children.
